If you're finding it tough to get out of bed in the morning, struggling with mood swings or sleepless nights - you're not alone.
After months of lockdown the Covid pandemic is taking its toll on the mental well-being of people from all walks of life.
Local charity, The Big Disability Group, has received a massive increase in enquires relating to mental health. They have responded by creating Well-being Boxes to help people get through difficult days.
Kevin Crawford, charity Co-ordinator, said: “Mental health is one of the things we are working on just now. We have had a lot of people getting in touch who haven't spoken to anyone for weeks and they are just looking to have a chat and off load.”
Those calls for help prompted the charity to put together boxes containing items that can be used to develop coping strategies during difficult times.

Each box contains a personal journal, a Keep Calm relaxation CD along with art therapy books and pencils to promote positive thoughts. There are also some seeds to plant, a fidget ball for anxiety plus a newsletter and list of useful contacts.
Kevin said: “Everybody who has got in touch is overwhelmed with the box and the contents, its made a big difference to them.
"People don't realise how much supportis out there. If they get in touch withus we can provide a box or direct them to an organisation that meets their needs it's all confidential and we will do out best to make sure they get the right help.”
If you think you would benefit from a box or require other support contact the organisation direct on 0141 237 4560 or email thebigdisabilitygroup@gmail.com or visit the website www.thebigdisabilitygroup.com or message them on Facebook or Twitter
