Makers West Launch

Creatives across West Dunbartonshire will be able to showcase, share and develop their work with the help of a new network called Makers West.

Funded by Creative Scotland, Makers West will connect and highlight the work of a mix of artists, photographers, theatre makers, musicians, painters and crafters.

The project is led by a steering group composed of local social enterprises and is free to join. For the next eight months it will run networking events, deliver training, business planning and support local creatives in the community.

Lottie Barker, Artistic Director of Clifftop Projects is part of the steering group. She said:
“This is a fantastic opportunity for us artists of West Dunbartonshire to find out more about
what other people are creating, share our skills with one another and collaborate on future
projects. So I hope that Makers West will be a supportive network that allows the fantastic artistic community of West Dunbartonshire to flourish.”

On Saturday July 25 artist Nic Green will be on Bowling Beach, where she will create a series of clay pots and on Friday July 31 Lottie will be teaching dance routines and songs for all the family.
